INFANTS

For Catholics Baptism is the first step in our lifelong commitment and discipleship. Whether we are baptised as adults or as babies.(It is sometimes spoken of as ‘Christening’.This is an old English reference to the fact that at Baptism we are given a CHRISTIAN NAME.) Baptism should take place very soon after the baby’s birth and should not be delayed because of social or other reasons. A time of preparation is required of parents, particularly in regard to attendance at Church so we ask you to get in touch with the parish priest, Fr James Caulfield.

BAPTISM OF PEOPLE OVER 7 YEARS

A special programme for those over the age of 7 is available from the Parish Priest upon request
